STAFF RETREAT
Our most usable current facility is a fabulous multi-bedroom, three story custom home in Alpine Meadows. It can accommodate a group as big as 10-12 (and they all sleep on the second floor!) We charge a $700 fee which provides for professional cleaning before and after your visit.. This facility has hosted large retreats, and is owned by a generous Christian family from the Bay Area of California. Email Tom Salter at barnabasfactor@comcast.net or call him at (530) 913-0692 to book your staff retreat.
Retreat Center
When this ministry began (in 1999) and for several years afterwards, Tom Salter met with each group and shared messages dealing with preventative self-care strategies for pastors and Christian workers. These messages have always been very well received, and appreciated by all those taking part. With his move to the Sacramento area (in 2007) Tom’s availability is much more limited. It is no longer required that he speak to groups. And, because of our limited scope to help professional "clergy", and because of the limited amount of time we can book it, our retreat accommodations cannot be used for get-togethers for lay people (i.e. elders retreats, or youth group snow retreats). It is available for groups of pastors (like a church staff), or parachurch organizations. What responsibilities you will have: good kitchen facilities are available at the retreat center. You must plan your own menu, and cook your own meals (or eat out at numerous area restaurants, or have catered meals). We are not responsible for your food needs.
