Barnabas Factor founder Tom Salter has been a pastor for over 50 years. In 1970, he helped found Christian Encounter Ministries in Grass Valley, CA, a residential treatment and educational center for troubled teens.
Over the years, he has pastored churches in northern California and southern Oregon and has conducted several successful “interim pastorates” at churches in transition. These include three Baptist churches, non-denominational churches, and Christian Churches.
Tom has a BA from what is now William Jessup University and a MA in New Testament from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Illinois.
With over 50 years of preaching through his career, he is known for his expositional preaching style and use of contemporary illustrations and application. He has several series of messages that span entire books of the New Testament.
He also covers many topical subjects for special emphases including Missions, Discipleship and Stewardship and well as holiday messages including Thanksgiving, the Christmas season, Good Friday, Easter, 4th of July and more. Tom would love to come to your church to “fill the pulpit!”
